OK on home ground here, I couldn't resist. The Beatles, the first group I was aware of growing up, the sound on this first one is not great, but love the song and how they really look to be enjoying themselves.

Growing up this is the first song I remember from the Beatles, She loves you. I never knew till recently how the Beatles had played extensively in Hamburg, Germany putting in thousands of hours on stage. They really were not overnight successes.

And here they are on the Ed Sullivan Show playing I want to hold your hand

Have a great day, remember smile at someone!

Good morning again, Nick... you took me right back to the early 1960's... those of us who were around when the Beatles first came on the scene in a big way will never forget those times. Still know all the words to all their songs from that era.

Nina Hollander those were good times when we look back, we forget about all the civil unrest and protests over Vietnam. Every time has its challenges.

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 the worst of the Viet Nam protests came later... I was living in DC in the mid and late 60's and remember them well, as I lived just blocks from the White House.

Nina Hollander I remember all the ritoing in Grosvenor Square in front of the American Embassy, there were pitched battles with the English Police trying to keep everyone away from the embassy, with the mounted police charging into the crowds and the rioters throwing marbles on the pavements and roads making the horses fall.

Hello Nick - no discussion of England and music could exist without The Beatles.  Although, it likely wasn't the first song of theirs I heard, I still remember I'll Follow The Sun. . .

I remember those days well Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 especially when they arrived in NYC and the commotion it caused. We all crowded around the TV to watch them on Ed Sullivan

Hi Nick- one of my brother's bands plays a lot of Beatles music. I still love the early songs and something remarkable about the Beatles is how they continued to grow and explore with their music.
