Extra Extra Read All About "365 Days of Social Posts for Real Estate Agents"
Have you ever been stymied and at a loss for what to write about in your blog? I certainly have been. I took a break not too long ago, mainly because I was tired of continuously having to come up with something new and exciting that someone else would want to read about. I started blogging again but often get stuck thinking about something to write about that isn't posting coming soon, just listed and just sold posts about my listings. I forget just where I saw this book posted and thought, this is a book I have to get. I looked it up on Amazon and I could have downloaded it to my Kindle app for free but I decided to purchase the old-fashioned paper copy.
I haven't been disappointed. The author gets write into it, there is no introduction or direction on how to use this book but rather it starts right out with January 1 and a list of starter ideas to write a blog post or social media posts. He starts out with wishing your clients a Happy New Year as one post, another a year in retrospect looking at some of the most memorable homes of the year.
Each page is a new day. Sometimes there is only one idea, sometimes two or three. These ideas are mostly one-liners or food for thought for the day. Just a way to get the creative juices flowing. One of the suggestions was to feature a local business each week. For me, this is a great idea. My son, Liam, and I eat out on a fairly regular basis because our schedules get so hectic. It's also a great way to draw more attention to your blog and before too long you may get new businesses asking you to feature them or asking you to leave some cards with them.
Another suggestion is Nature Photography Day. Now, in ActiveRain there are photography groups, wordless days, and don't we all just love to snap pictures of just about anything? And, mother nature does provide us with some great opportunities for amazing shots.
Featuring neighborhoods. Baltimore has over 200 distinct neighborhoods and Live Baltimore's website already has a lot of detail for you to choose a neighborhood from the list, take a drive by and snap a couple of pictures and write about it.
Share a list of common mistakes home buyers and sellers make while buying or selling a home.
But, in general, it doesn't always have to be about real estate. And, all real estate and no play can make June's blog boring and dull too.
I am happy to say that this book was a great purchase, there are loads of great ideas. You don't have to use them all, but using a few or some or most will help you bulk up your blog and make it more interesting. And, if all else fails you can always share your favorite recipes!
I got my copy on Amazon. You won't be disappointed!!
