DANGEROUS WORDS: RED FLAG WRITING 27 page NO NO word LIST FREE FOR YOU

How many boring real estate ads have you read recently?

Are you an equal housing or fair housing story by accident? I know that in my 15 years of writing real estate ads I was very guilty of using the infamous thought of "IDEAL FOR" and still today am using MASTER in describing a Master Bedroom or Bath...(I recently heard the word "Master" may make the NO NO words list!

So, today in writing an ad for my new listing I caught myself again trying to describe a home that has a pool that kids would just love to play in! A yard that offers privacy and the home is affordable...however, affordable is a gray line word these days and I would hate to offend someone for making them feel they were not buying the American Dream and for them not being proud of this great honor because I labeled the home "affordable"! So, I consulted my 27 page list of NO NO words and discovered some of the words that bothered me the most were not even on the list...So, I added a few in writing on the end!

I thought the list would be great to share with my AR family! I can't take credit for the detailed long 27 page list of RED FLAG WORDS, or NO NO WORDS or DANGER WORDS list...Credit goes to the management team in the corporate office of Coldwell Banker TRIAD REALTORS. If they got the list from someone else, I did not know it!
