Acouple of days ago in one of my posts, I lamented the fact that some people don't like us very well. In response to that, here are 10 reasons sellers should show us some us some love.

10.  You don't buy the sign, we provide it.

9.   We take the phone calls.

8.   We work with pre-qualified clients--sometimes we may already know of a buyer for your home.

7.   We help your buyers get their loan.

6.   We help bring the buyer and seller to a meeting of the minds.

5.   You get to do something fun while we hold your "open house."

4.   We know how to get your house on youtube and zillow (and a whole bunch more).

3.   We do the paperwork.

2.   It's true. Your house typically sells for more $ when we sell it.

1.   YOU ONLY PAY US IF WE SELL IT!

I'm sure there are a whole lot more--lets hear some of your ideas.

A nice list to start with -- you could prbably add another 50 given time.  The listing syndication sites are a list all to themselves.  Cyberhomes.com sends the listing to America Online real estate providing you even more access to visitors.

thanks Scott........here is another one to add to the list, and it's very important. YOU DON'T HAVE TO LET STRANGERS IN YOUR HOME TO PROWL AROUND. In what other circumstance would consider for even a few seconds inviting a stranger in your home to look around all they want--especially if you're alone and even more so if you're alone and female.

Hey Steve, Great List!  Thanks!  One more to add - the Listing Agent works with the Buyer's agent and are the ones who listen to the Buyer whinning not the Seller.  I think that catches a lot of FSBOs off guard!  We are used to it they are not!

Jon----good point. I think sellers don't realize how much it costs to market a home.

Kathy---you are so right, and you can't put a dollar amount on the "whine factor."
