As Foreclosures Move People Out - Critters Move In

By
Real Estate Agent

There are several news articles today about critters taking advantage of the slump in the real estate market, and finding shelter in foreclosed homes.

One accounting reports that a family of bobcats has moved into one foreclosed Lake Elsinore home, while lounging about on fences, yards, and grounds of the neighborhood, adding new dimension to the saying, "There goes the neighborhood."

Here's a report as presented by the LA Times:

Well I think I would prefer bobcats to the little furry mice and roaches I run into.  At least a bobcat is big enough for you to see and know to keep away from!

I heard that I was doing a bpo the other day, and I heard something scratching behind the refrigerator...I didn't wait around to see what it was...

Cindy and Konnie - Apparently, this is a more common problem than originally thought.  We were talking about this in the office yesterday, and several agents recalled incidence of squirrels, possums, and other critters/varmints, in vacant homes.

I saw that article in the Sac Bee. Aren't they cute? And it seems they aren't all that threatening. Still, I don't think I'd like a bobcat living next door.
