Closing Date Blown!

This past week my client's closing date was completely blown due to poorly managed details from the buyer's agent and the mortgage lender. It was shocking to me that while the buyer's agent acted like everything was on track, the law office confirmed to me that they did not have a scheduled time for our closing, the very next day. I had to contact the mortgage lender just to find out that he was still waiting on a gift letter and proof of assets from the buyer's mother, in order to cover the buyer's down payment. I had to inform the buyer's agent of this tiny little fact and ask him to work with his client to get it done, ASAP. The most pathetic thing of all was that my client's home is emptied out and the moving truck is already across state lines, while she literally does not even have a closing date rescheduled as of yet. Once underwriting does their job, we can schedule the closing. I'm not perfect, but this whole thing stinks! It is just pathetic and the person who is suffering is my client, which is not acceptable, considering the circumstances!
