Now that is high tech and organized, both Wal-Mart and Amazon.com.

Today Hubby complained again about needing some British Sterling After Shave.  The last time I went to Wal-Mart and looked behind the locked doors of the display case, I didn't see any and there was no one to ask.

He whined and said he guessed he'd have to go out there himself and see if they had any.  I suggested that I just order him some.   He jumped at that idea.

So I went to Walmart.com  and put the item in for a search.  The report said that Wal-Mart doesn't sell the item on line but I could do a store search.  I put in our zip code and all stores within 100 miles that carried the item popped up.  Our store didn't pop up.  So if he'd driven out there, he'd have found none. They have evidently quit carrying the item.

But the stores that did pop up reported either "out of stock", "limited supply" etc.  And those stores were 50 miles or so away. But the report was as of October 14, 2008.....!!!!  Now that is keeping up with stock!!!

Then I went to my favorite on-line store, Amazon.com.  They had it.  One bottle was $9.99 and there was ONE item in stock!  Now that is keeping up with inventory!!  I thought they might be joshing me so I put 2 in the selection box.  They quickly said, "You dummy, I told you there was only one bottle available!"

Well, maybe the language wasn't that harsh but they got the point across to me.

What I was impressed about and so was the golfer-squirrelhunting dude behind me was the way giant businesses can keep up with one bottle of after shave.

Dear Mrs. Barbara,

Your dude is an animal. Lose him. Don't try to make him smell better. I regret to say that I will be unable to comment on your blog for one week. Due to a crisis in Algiers, I will be deployed by the French Foreign Legion for a week. I am retired, but in the reserves, and a major crisis is brewing.

But Nutsy, you can take your blackberry and keep up with my blogs!  You know that you are high-tech just like Wal-Mart and Amazon.com.

Barbara, the problem with that suggestion is that Nutsy "eats" blackberries.  Unlike Amazon and Wal-Mart he can't keep track of his nuts at all either!  (Wonder how he would look with a shaved tail?)

Charles, you've got to quit picking on Nutsy.  He is one smart squirrel who is very polite and tactful.....except he doesn't like my husband.

Barbara and Charlie,

All joking aside, can we be serious for a moment? Whatever is going on with Nutsy is serious. He was contacted about 3AM, by the French. They had him out of here and on a plane to SeaTac, connection flight, within three hours. I am going to keep my eyes and ears open for news from Algiers. This is all top secret but a person might be able to figure out what is going on from the news. He is very good at what he does and they thought it crucial that he be there.

Steven, I am serious.  Why'd you let that sweet smart squirrel go without you?  He has probably been kidnapped due to your irresponsible behavior.  Activerain is going to be unhappy with Nutsy's mentor/employer!!!  We'd grown to love that arrogant rodent.

Barbara,

He can take care of himself, that much I am convinced of. They use him for heavy surveillance activities. Can you imagine trying to keep him out of the house if he really wanted in? Impossible. He comes in high, low, by tree, by wire, by 30' leaps. He can chew through screens or wood.

Elizabeth, you have to tune in to Nutsy.  He truly is a riot.

Steven, perhaps you can train a few others while he's gone.  You'll have a "squirrel-gang" similar to the old "chain-gang" that got so much accomplished.

Gene, you wouldn't say that if you were trying to order a very essential item and it was EASY!!  I think perhaps they should be put in charge of Fannie and Freddie.  LOL

Barbara - Okay, I have no clue what British Sterling is. But, wouldn't it make your life easier if you just found hubby a new sent that is more readily available?

Carol, you know how men are!  I don't want him to change either because most men's scents are horrid.  Don't you know guys (and girls) who make you want to run in the other direction?  LOL  It has now been shipped!  Fast service!!
