NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS.. WHERE DO YOU STAND ON THIS?

First, let me say, I hope everyone had a very Happy New Year's Eve last night. 

It is now the start of 2009, and I'm hoping everyone is getting off on the right foot.  We all made resolutions of one form or another.. and I'm sure we are ALL going to stick with them.. at least for the first week. LOL.

My main resolution is an attitude change.. I'm not looking to change everyone else.. just me.  I'm tired of the negativity.. and everyone complaining about *something*, if not everything.  When I thought about it.. not much comes of this.  Complaining, might make you feel better for a moment.. but not in the long run.  Stress, and negativity puts a toll on people physically, we come down with colds, and get tired faster.  So, what I am going to do, is be positive.  Not jump into the whirlpool of negativity, and have a PMA...POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE. I'll try to find a silver-lining to things.. and maybe bring a smile to someone in the process. 

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE... MUCH HEALTH AND PROSPERITY TO EVERYONE THAT READS THIS!!

Debbie.. Congratulations on quiting smoking.. that is not an easy task.  The loosing weight will probably be a lot easier.  Just pace yourself.. and realize that the weight didn't come on overnight, so I won't loose it overnight...

Many years ago I made a resolution that I would not make any more resolutions.  So far, I've been able to stick with that one!  :)

Bruce.. I sort of follow in your way of thinking.  To come up with resolutions by a particular day seems like a downhill battle to start with.. too much pressure.  Resolutions I feel should be made whenever it stricks you.

It is amazing, I was out today, and was about to pass this woman... who looked like the world was on her shoulders... I said "Hello, and Happy New Year".  She smiled and said, "Yes, the same to you".  SHE SMILED.   A simple jesture like that made someone feel better.. if only for a moment.

I like this resolution.. do you want to try it with me?

Tammy.. Maybe this will become like dominos and we can get a lot of people to join in.  Wouldn't it be great (hopefully I dont' sound naive) if we could just change things a little in a more positive direction?

Let's check back in, in a month and see how things are going... I think Bruce would like to know too.

Lanre.. I just checked out your blog on ActiveRain top newcomers of 2008.  Thanks for mentioning this to me.. and for including me in on this.  I had no idea I was one of 50.  WOW. 

I'm still hoping to keep this positive attitude, but, I already see days when this is hard to do.
