Daddy Daughter Dance at the Costick Center on Feb. 6 and 7
Calling all doting dads! Do you have a daughter who likes to dress up and dance? Then don't miss out on treating her to a special evening she'll always remember!
The annual Daddy Daughter Dance will be held on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills. You can dance the night away to music from a local DJ, enjoy refreshments, and each daughter who attends will receive a corsage. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the memory of this fun evening.
Sign up early and reserve your spot on the dance floor! This popular event fills up fast and space is limited to 500 participants per evening. The fee is $9 per person for residents and $14 per person for non-residents. The deadline to register is January 29. For more info, call 248-473-1800.
AFTERNOON TEA FEATURES "EDIBLE TOKENS OF LOVE" ON FEB. 10
On Tuesday, February 10, just in time for Valentine's Day, food designer Amy Anikewich will demonstrate how to prepare and arrange designer cookies into an enticing flower arrangement. The edible creation will take shape from start to finish as guests enjoy afternoon tea, and everyone will take home an edible token of love to share with their favorite Valentine.
The "Edible Tokens of Love" afternoon tea begins at 1 p.m. at the Longacre House, located on Farmington Road between Ten and Eleven Mile Roads. The fee is $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required, call 248-473-1870. Groups are welcome.
Afternoon tea is held each month at the Longacre House, accompanied by entertaining presentations. Patrons enjoy a luncheon of dainty courses all served with unlimited tea. The next tea will take place on Tuesday, March 10, and will feature a character presentation of Eleanor Roosevelt.
