The best part of the inauguration (For Me)...

Do you like to watch inauguration?

I DON'T particularly Democratic or Republican it makes no difference.

However, there is one part of the inauguration that I do like to watch on television.

I like to watch the part where the outgoing president welcomes the incoming president to the White

House.  The interaction and the body language between the two presidents and the two first ladies

is fascinating.  You HAVE to wonder what they are really thinking.  Especially after an election where

they ran against each other.

I think is it poignant when the presidential helicopter circles the White House (one last time)

with the outgoing president.  No matter the president or party.

I thought it was a touching moment when the Obamas and the Bidens walked the Bushes to the helicopter.  What a moment for the outgoing president.  I bet there are tons of tears on that ride.  The transition was so gentle and respectful.

I loved it....I didn't watch all of the before and after stuff, but it's an amazing country we live in. ;-)

Stacey-Ann-  I would think that there were tears.  Eight years of their lives.

Teri- It is an amazing country.  God Bless the USA

Brenda,

The transfer of power this year was described as one of the smoothest in recent history. It was civil and professional and polite. I agree with you no matter the party affiliation, it is a fanscinating event

Thanks

Bo
