At least once a day is seems that a member of Active Rain has a concern about how another person creates their posts. Whether it is how and why we re-blog, whether a person should be allowed to blog the same post multiple times in a row or whether re-posting your own or a team members post should be allowed.
The bigger question to me is "why do we care?" Everyone approaches the Active Rain network in a different way. For some it is a social network to connect with other agents, for others it is a forum to learn and for many it is a way to attract new business. Active Rain has a series of community guidelines that were established to make sure that everyone who joins has a "standard" to go by.
As long as a blogger doesn't violate copyright, plagiarize or violate the community guidelines then we shouldn't care. Whether we think they are point hogs or full of hogwash doesn't matter. I used to lose sleep over posts or comments that I saw on Active Rain. Then I realized that I was to busy selling real estate to worry about another agent's antics. If I see a violation I flag the post and move on. It is up to the team at Active Rain to decide whether to take action or not.
Life is too short to worry about another blogger. Let's go out and sell some real estate!
