In 25 years, I have done a lot of different stuff! Raw land, gentleman farms, new construction, town homes, condo's, multi-family, "normal" single family, one rural doublewide, and a lot of Historic Homes. Historic Homes and other unique homes with "Charm & Character" set me on fire! I love to write about them; I love to show them; I love to market them.
Writing ads is passion for me! I love the historic--lots of input for great ads. However, I can romance an ordinary place, if it has some redeeming qualities. There is no way that I can romance a "squatty little brick ranch" that is dirty and smells bad. There is a difference between "puffing" and misrepresentation! I don't want anyone to go into one of my listings and say, "The agent misrepresented the property"!
I enjoy working with both buyers and sellers. I like people who talk to me so that I can give them information that will help them make an informed decision with different options for them to consider!
My experience as an educator makes me love guiding first time buyers to a home that will suit them and their budget. Working with Seniors to help ease the transition pains of downsizing is equally rewarding. Then, helping people looking for historic homes, or homes that will have future historical value, for them, or the community, is also my passion!
No matter what my client's needs, I try to help them achieve their goals with special attention to them all.
I service all areas in the Roanoke Valley MLS and beyond, if I feel that I can handle it. If a property, or a buyer's needs, extend beyond my fields of expertise, I will refer them to a competent agent.
******Now here is a new area of expertise for me:
In the past 3 years I have survived the remodeling of one floor of a 6,600 sq.ft. triplex, built circa 1920, while living in it. My 87 year old mother just moved in downstairs, after I supervised that remodel!
I need to add an additional designation--SOR--Survivor of Remodeling!
