Active Rain in Anaheim, Steven Graham, Sandy Corrigan and the Active Rain Cast! Last week I spent a great time at the Keller Williams Family Reunion in Anaheim, California. This year's Keller Williams event was even better than year's past. The training was engaging and relevant, helping agents take their business to the next level. Some of the highlights included hanging out in the vendor area with the great people from Active Rain. It is always so great to meet people face the face and have a chance to ask questions and get the "secrets" of the top bloggers! Thank you Steven Graham for spending one on one time with me giving me great tips to help me with blogging for 2011. I am very excited about the continued training on Active Rain University. Rain Storm Camp was crazy and interesti...

I am generally a pretty healthy eater and don't really tend to try the fast food too much. My idea of fast food is generally Subway or Tokyo Joe's or something I will splurge calorie wise at Chipotle or Qdoba. When I saw that we were getting a Jack in the Box in Highlands Ranch I knew I would have to try it.  It is relatively near my home and I am out & about working in Highlands Ranch most days - on any given day I am driving by it at least 5 times.  I could only hold out so long.   Way better than the other fast food burger joints around.  It was a great splurge but I think my calorie count is done for the week, and it is Sunday.  Thankfully they had some other options that I could make better choices with such as some bowls and a pita next time.  But my kids seem to like it - so now ...

Originally posted on my blog: Real Estate in Denver & The Suburbs Just this last night I flipped the switch on my Denver & Highlands Ranch homes search to bring forward upgrades from my provider, Diverse Solutions.  They provide my IDX that allows you to search the homes in the Denver MLS through my site. I am thrilled that I was able to bring the changes this weekend – just wanted to post & let anyone know that in fact you are on the right site, things just look a little different.  I will be posting again this weekend to point out some new things.  I’ll probably be tinkering with the setting this weekend as well. Until then – search away!

Highlands Ranch Real Estate: Homes Sales Data & Market Reports Originally posted at: Highlands Ranch Market Data January 2011 January is behind us already and there is a lot of questions about how the real estate market is doing in Highlands Ranch.  Well, I suppose that depends a lot on which market segment you may be curious about.  The bulk of activity remains in the sweet spot between $200 – $500k.  This is generally where the majority of homes in Highlands Ranch fall as far as price range. Looking at the data, the largest segment for activity is the $200 -$300k price range. On the other hand, getting up above $600k is really tough, with no sales for January in Highlands Ranch CO.  Once we have some sales on the book, months of inventory in these upper price ranges can be calculated....

Small Business Owners-Do You Have A BMD? A BMD is a Business Maturity Date, a date that you could leave your business to go on vacation or do something you have always dreamed of doing, while making money and not having to put the pieces of your business back together. About a year ago, The Corrigan Group got involved with The Crankset Group. About 100 plus business owners from all types of business gathered to explore the topic of growing our businesses. That day changed our business and our lives. Chuck Blakeman, author of Making Money is Killing Your Business, ( # 1 business book of the Year by the Federation of Independent Business Owners) spoke . "The number one reason that most business owners remain on the treadmill and cannot make money while they are on vacation or have a plan ...

Highlands Ranch Memories as the 30th Anniversary Year Long Celebration Begins The HRCA website is accepting submissions for Highlands Ranch memories as they begin their celebration of 30 years as Highlands Ranch. Click on over to the Highlands Ranch Community Association website to submit your memories and see what is already posted.  The first newsletter is there, along with photo memories.  I didn't move to Highlands Ranch until 1995, but I have been here 16+ years now - living and working selling real estate, so I do consider myself a fairly long time resident.  But watch this page for memories to come, you will be seeing residents that have been here from the early days and even the very beginning.  Celebrations will be occurring all year as Highlands Ranch celebrates 30 years - sta...

Falcon Hills Neighborhood: Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale Falcon Hills is the original luxury neighborhood of Highlands Ranch.  Both a gated and pool community - Falcon Hills is actually two neighborhoods - Falcon Hills North and Falcon Hills South.   Falcon Hills, both North and South, is known for its large expansive yards, some even with pools. Additionally, from its perch high on a hill, many homes in Falcon Hills have beautiful wide open mountain views of the entire front range.  Located just off of University Blvd, residents of Falcon Hills have extremely easy access to C470 for commuters. Falcon Hills Subdivision is part of the Douglas County School District and feeds into Highlands Ranch High School with Cougar Run Elementary & Cresthill Middle School as its feeder scho...

Hillcrest Neighborhood: Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale Hillcrest is a neighborhood in the heart of Highlands Ranch.  I find Hillcrest to be a stunning neighborhood, larger executive style homes with lots of brick, larger lots and many side entry garages with curved driveways make it a bit different than many of the other Highlands Ranch neighborhoods.  Another quality that differentiates itself is the number of streets that are cul-de-sacs and the fact that it is a bit of a smaller neighborhood than some of the others.  Many of the Hillcrest homes also are known for its very generous sized bedrooms. Hillcrest has a great location, close to schools, parks and shopping - especailly the very popular Whole Foods.  It is also not far from the HRCA Eastridge Recreation Center and man...

Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale: Westridge Glen Westridge Glen is another of the "Westridge" neighborhoods in Highlands Ranch.   A beautiful neighborhood, it boasts a great location close to parks (Marcy & Redstone), trails and more - it is a neighborhood for many with a wider range is size and price of homes - ranging from the mid 200,000's to into the $600,000's. Westridge Glen does indeed have a great location, within minutes you can be shopping, dining at a Highlands Ranch Town Center restaurant, checking out books at the library, golfing at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club, working out in the Westridge HRCA Rec Center or riding your bike on the Highline Canal. This great location makes commuting from Westridge Glen ideal as well - easy access to C470 off of Lucent Blvd and als...

Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale:  Timberline Ridge Timberline Ridge Neighborhood in Highlands Ranch is one of the "older" communities in Highlands Ranch but still remains to be one that I receive many inquiries about.  Numerous factors contribute to its level of interest, large yards, many open space lots, quite a few with breathtaking full mountain views, easy access to trails, walkability to the elementary school and much more.  In addition, Timberline Ridge is a pool community with a private neighborhood pool and clubhouse for residents only.     Located at the northern section of Highlands Ranch, but almost in the middle in the east-west scheme of things, Timberline Ridge has an ideal location.  Easy commuter access to C470, close to schools, shopping, trails and parks (Sand...

Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale: Lantern Hill Neighborhood The Lantern Hill neighborhood in Highlands Ranch is a very nice neighborhood that is built with Joyce homes.  When the neighborhood was first being built, it was highly talked about as it was fairly different than many of the other Highlands Ranch neighborhoods with some unique floor plans. Located at the southern end of Highlands Ranch with some lots having open space, its a great location close to schools, shopping, recreation centers, parks and more. The Lantern Hill neighborhood is a part of the Douglas County School District and feeds into Mountain Vista High School with Summit View Elementary & Mountain Ridge Middle School as its feeder schools. Originally posted on my Real Estate in Denver & The Suburbs Blog - Highlands Ranch Winter Week What a week.  First we had our Below Zero spell.  Yesterday I heard pretty last minute there was a chance of an inch or so of snow, yet it seemed to start snowing very quickly after lunch and didn't ever really stop.   I had to travel north into Englewood and Denver last night, roads north of County Line Rd didn't seem too bad, but Douglas County was far icier it seemed.  When I returned home a bit after 9 it seemed, there weren't many cars on the road but the snow seemed to be tapering off.  I though I had maybe 4 inches on my deck.  Weather report said snow moving out, some more tomorrow.  Did that snow tomorrow, now today, arrive early or did it just never stop? Flash forward to this mornin...
