Home Sellers have a challenge. How do they make their home stand out to Buyers?
There are several things that Sellers can do to attract Buyers. Staging, of course, is important. Trying to make your house look like a model is essential. Cleaning is for my money the easiest and biggest bang for the buck that any home seller can perform. No buyer at any price wants to see or smell someone else’s dirt. Availability is also critical. Having the home ready to show at short notice could make the difference between a sale and a “maybe next time” situation.

No doubt the portrait we have painted of a Rock Star appears to glamorous, successful, even desirable. But in reality, Rock Stars as a group are seldom successful and when they are their success is fleeting. They seldom get to enjoy the very thing that makes them a star and that is their passion.

Every sale, every transaction is different. Even when you think you have negotiated a slam dunk deal, something can go wrong. Sloppy Copy will make you look bad.

Recently I planted several beautiful Emu bushes. We are trying to get the yard back in shape after a hard Arizona winter. The Emus were doing nicely taking root, filling out and blooming with pretty pink flower buds.
Then it happened. We woke up to find our local rabbit population threw a party overnite at our expense. They didn't even bother to clean up after themselves.

Lipstick on a pig! That is what we call it when we show homes that are listed as “remodeled” but when you get inside and see that all they did was paint over all the old dirt, then throw some staging furniture in the main rooms and place it on the market.

Ah yes. More cringe-worthy moments from Marte Cliff. Great for a laugh.
Sometimes a word in a sentence just jumps out, hits you, and makes you think "Ouch!"
Such was a word in an email I received not long ago. It was a forward from a friend, and it had a fine message. The trouble was in the introduction.
It said "This bares repeating." Ouch!!
The "ouch" problem is getting worse day by day - probably due to the number of people who are now using voice recognition software to do their typing.
