Address or House Numbers.....something most of us don't give much thought to, but they can be very important in an emergency. Older housing tracts don't always have sequential numbering....in fact the house next door to me is 1135 while I am at 1159 and across the Street is 1146.  Imagine if you were trying to locate a particular address by today's standard....all odd on one side, and all even on the other side in sequential order. That's easy, but older housing tracks, or rural areas often times are different. In an emergency it's important to have Clear Reflective House Numbers.

The other day I was driving to San Diego with my grandkids.  I wanted to take a few pictures for my blog, and especially I wanted one of the Camp Pendelton sign.  Well, for some reason I kept going down different streets, and had no idea at all where we were.   The kids were sure we were lost.  
I didn't act lost though, and we played "Real Estate".  When we turned down a dead-end street, it became a lesson in vocabulary.  "What do you call this circle street?"  Yep a cul-de-sac.  What's the name of those white wooden window coverings..."Plantation Shutters."  And we would drive back … (16 comments)

Good Morning, it's Monday again, and today I have another gift....something for Spring.  The weather has been crazy and some of us have seen Spring type weather much earlier than normal, but then again we saw snow one day and 80 degree weather the next. But it's March now.....and it's time for the weather to change.

What does it take to be successful? Getting your license is one thing, opening an office is another....There are so many things to consider, and the liability is huge.....Where do you start?  What type of image do you want? Remember that book "21 Things I wish my Broker had told me?"  This got me to thinking of the things I have learned AS a Broker, and why I haven't failed.

Did you hear on the news last night about a new town in Florida called Ava Maria opening???? The Town was designed by  Tom Monaghan, founder of Domino's Pizza.  He designed the town, the church, everything.....for Catholics only....

 Many agents come into this business for the money.....other than the education for the exam, what do they bring to be successful.  The dollar.....is that all we're made up of, our desire for a profit?

A few days ago I was reading a very long blog from Randy in Hawaii.  He went back and forth with some of the Nigerian Spammers, and they were even calling him on his cell phone.....
In 3 years I have never had this happen, until today.  About 1/2 an hour ago I got a call from someone that stated they lived in Malaysia and found my number online.  He stated he wanted to Invest in Real Estate.......oh God, Randy's Spammers have found me.
