boca raton home stager: Boca Raton Home Stager Advice - Don't Be Afraid Of Empty Spaces - 08/20/12 11:41 AM
One of my favorite Stagers, Sharon Tara, makes a very good point about empty spaces.  When a buyer enters a room, you want them to take in the whole room.  Just because you own, for example, matching end and coffee tables, doesn't mean they have to be used in the same room.  If that other end table crowds the room, don't use it.
Let your buyers see the whole room rather than have their eyes bounce around from object to object.

Let me guess... you’ve watched the staging shows on cable TV, am I right?

I love the Home Staging shows on cable television but like many “reality”  shows on the telly today, what you see is not always what you get. Myth: Stagers are going to come in with a crew and start ripping, removing and painting … (45 comments)

The front door below is nice but dated; look at what a difference painting it can make. The house now looks fresh and "today".
And I know that some of you will hate painting over wood but do it.  It's not doing you any good if it's holding back your house from being … (0 comments)

boca raton home stager: Vacant Home Staging-Boca Raton: Staging Answers the Question: What is this Room? - 04/04/12 12:48 AM
Vacant homes can present a challenge.  Yes, Buyers can see that the room with the oven in it is the kitchen, but what about those rooms that leave a big question mark in the buyers mind?  By staging them, this allows the buyer to see the possibilities of the room and not wander around the house still focusing on what the room's purpose is.
One of my favorite Home Stagers, Diane Young, of Staging Seattle, shows how staging a "bonus" room helps to let the Buyers see how it could be used.  At least the Buyer can now move on to … (10 comments)
