Why I Chose Real Estate...It Really Was an Accident!

What a great story Margaret - and I'd say, this was a pleasant 'accident' - but for this, I would not have met you here on AR!

Of course from your posts, I did realized that you are multi-talented person. You did not mention anything about your book, btw. You are an author, too.

And as far as pictures go, like daughter like mom, I should say.

We believe...there are no accidents...that everything happens for a reason...and it sure appears to the case in your career path.

This is the best "accident waiting to happen" story I've read Margaret..........love the honeymoon photos too and the "chubby cheek" photo.................

That is a terrific way to get into Real Estate Margaret!  Sounds like it ended up being a "happy accident", especiallly to you clients, (your competetion...not so much :)!  )!

I see, learn something new every day about your close friends. :) What I want to know is where do I find this contenst!!  I went to "contests" and I don't see any where the rules are posted.  Ugh.  One of these days you'll have to show me where this stuff is.  You know how I love contests. :) Hope you and Lee are doing okay.  Hope yesterday went well with the showing/s. :) Gail

Margaret, I digressed and read your other story before coming back to this one.  You have shown us that it really doesn't matter what life throws our way, all that matters it what we make of it!

That's certainly a different path to the real estate field. It sounds like the path was set in motion with the gifts you made and the call from the former nurse. A lot of people are very happy your found your path to the real estate profession.

Margaret: Sounds like real estate was the perfect next step in any event--by building up long term relationships first. Love your story.

I enjoyed reading your story and seeing your photos, Margaret. You had several dreams come true in that story. I'm a sucker for happy endings.

I sure glad that it wasn’t a bad accident, although I’ve had some bad accidents that in retrospect were pretty good!

Everything happens for a reason, and most of the time we don't even know what that is until much later. Your creation is beautiful, it looks like porcelain in the photo! Very nice!

It is so interesting to read the stories of how folks got into Real Estate and your story is no exception.  I gained some insight into my childhood as I wrote, and I connected with yours as I read... "See if I was a nurse, I could have saved him"  Wow, that is a lot of pressure to have put on an eight year old. 

So much of our past shapes our future choices, some conciously and some sub-conciously.  I am so grateful that our paths crossed here.

Margaret, Great story and we are all so blessed that you became a Realtor, you are an inspiration!  I know of others that were nurses and then became Realtors, some very successful as you are and others...not so much.  Beautiful story and great photos!
