I know you've been waiting for this so it's SHOWTIME! It's the Third Annual "Be the Star of Your Own Movie" Contest! Everyone loves thisand it is so much fun to read.
REMEMBER.... videos are NOT required UNLESS you wish to enter BEST MOVIE! I can't wait to see the entries!!!

With a Twist!

Just like last year, there will be three categories:
Best Movie
Best Actress
Best Actor
All entries for Best Movie must include a video or slide presentation whether you star in the movie or not. You can choose your own cast or none at all, as long as the movie relates to your field, whether you are a real estate agent, lender, inspector, home stager, etc. etc. etc. This is the ONLY catgegory that requires a video or slide presentation.
The entries for Best Actress and Best Actor are not required to include a video, but photos of some sort are required. You choose the character you will play in the movie. Any entry written by a female will be put into the Best Actress category. Entries written by a male will be put into the Best Actor category.
Did you think there wouldn’t be a “twist” this year?
Of course there is a twist. Just for fun, you can add other ActiveRain Members to your video or slide presentation if you are entering in the Best Movie category. They will be your supporting cast. Use as many as you would like…..make it fun. You can do the same with the Best Actress and Best Actor category. So who will be your Best Supporting Actresses or Actors?
Here is an example of what we are looking for as far as entries for the contest. Take the movie classic "All About Eve", it is a story of ambition and betrayal. Have you worked with someone like Eve Harrington? Maybe you've dealt with Margo Channing. Have you had your own "Miracle of 34th Street"? Done a deal that made you feel like the "Wizard of Oz"?
Tell us all about it.
Use your imagination and your creative writing skills.
Make sure you add a video or slide presentation to be considered for Best Movie and some photos to be considered for Best Actor or Best Actress.
Make it even more exciting and appealing to the judges.

·The contest will run through the month of February , you can enter your post starting at midnight tonight. The deadline will be February 28, 2014 at Midnight EST.
·All entries will receive 1000 points for your effort and participation, in addition to the usual points you get for posting and comments.
·All entries must be a minimum of 200 words not to exceed 500 words. Give or take!
·One entry per ActiveRain Member.
·In the comment section of this post, leave a link to your entry so the judges have access to them all from one place.
·The Best Movie Winner will receive an additional 2000 points.
·The Best Actress Winner will receive an additional 1500 points.
·The Best Actor Winner will receive an additional 1500 points.

There will be three nominees in each category.
The nominees will all be posted before the winners are announced.
The nominees that do not win in their particular category will receive 500 bonus points for their nomination.
Twistin’ time again.....there will be 500 points awarded to the two people the judges decide are the Best Supporting Actress and the Best Supporting Actor.
