Rancho Carrillo, a master planned community in Carlsbad and the home of Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park, is the site of “Nostalgic Entertainment under the Stars”.

On 5 successive Friday nights (August 15 through September 12) movie lovers can enjoy rare historic Hollywood films starring Leo Carrillo (former owner of the famed ranch on which much of the residential community was built) and other “Hollywood golden age” stars.

Leo Carrillo was one of the stars of the well-known TV series “The Cisco Kid”, and episodes of the show will appear before the feature film. Folks can picnic on the Hacienda grounds, the formed home of Carrillo, beginning at 6 PM (or purchase refreshments to support the Carrillo Ranch Barn Theatre Stabilization/Restoration Project) and enjoy a tour before the show begins at sunset. Admission is free. Bring low back chairs, blankets, flashlights and warm clothes for chilly nights.

8/29 – Horror Island (1941)
9/5 – It Had to Happen (1936)
9/12 – Lillian Russell (1940)
