About Me
My Road to becoming a Designer
When I was 16, I dreamed of becoming an interior designer, I spent hours in the tiny fabric store in the small town in Wisconsin where I grew up. But when it came time to choice a career path, my parents thought that being a designer was like "dreaming" of being an actress, only a select few made it! So armed with a degree, I began what I thought would be a career in youth ministries. However, with many twist and turns in my life I ended up spending most of my time pursuing some aspect of design. I've painted many creative wall treatments, I've had my own sewing & design business, and I've also reupholstered furniture. I've taught many classes including; interior design, sewing, quilting, floral arranging, visual display & merchandising, home staging & house flipping. I've spent 10 yrs working as a "visual display artist", where I've created hundreds if not thousands or furniture vignettes; from country plaid to modern chic! I've also designed home shows and model homes though out my career. But what I enjoy the most is helping Homeowners, Investors & House Flippers, stage & create inviting homes to sell.

Becca we can't thank you enough for you great ideas. It saved us so much time and money. Rick hasn't quite finished the deck but I sent along a before and after picture. Your idea to build right over everything was great, the thought of removing all those cement steps and foundation would have taken him hours of back breaking work. Plus that side deck just sorta hung there with no place to go. By covering up the whole cinder block front foundation with a front porch and tying it into the side deck made so much more since, and adding the stone bed for landscaping was perfect. Overall everything adds a great deal of value to the house, especially in this nice neighborhood. We also loved your idea of taking out the bay window and replacing the window on the other side of the door, to balance out the look of the home. Like I said great ideas, We couldn't be happier!!
