ft belvoir relocation: "Hi I'm Cindy It's Nice To Meet You" - 05/23/12 06:37 AM
Typical words we say when we first meet our clients. Yesterday at the closing on my townhouse listing in The Forest at Southrun in Springfield VA, I meet the homeowner for the first time. When we started the process of selling their home in Springfield, the owner was on deployment in Afghanistan. After multiple emails and a few phone calls the townhouse went on the market. We had a solid offer within 2 weeks and then it was a matter of processing through the Department of Defense Homeowners Assistance Program (HAP). It hasn't been unusual for me to work with absentee sellers

ft belvoir relocation: West Springfield Welcomes The Newest Ledo Pizza - 05/01/12 06:03 PM
West Springfield VA has the honor of being the site of the 100th Ledo's Pizza in the country. Ledo's was started in Maryland in 1955 offering rectangular and square pizzas with home rolled crusts and became an instant hit. The Ledo's outside the University of Maryland is still run by the Marco's family that started the restaurant.Today Ledo's has spread it's wings outside of the DC area but as my clients and I discovered the pizza is still crispy and square! The West Springfield location is in-between Giant Grocery Store and CVS at the corner of Rolling and Keene Mill Roads.

ft belvoir relocation: Early Design Center Options In Springfield VA - 04/25/12 12:53 PM
Today when you buy a new home the builder design center reminds you of a huge furniture store. The builder offers you a myriad of choices for every room in the house. In 1950's Springfield VA you had a "colororizer" to help you pick out the interior color scheme of your home. I can remember friends who had homes with pink or turquoise kitchen appliances and yellow bathroom fixtures. If you are looking for a home in Springfield VA today you can still find some homes with the original fixtures but more often you will find a home that is nicely

A few days ago one of the local nesting pairs stopped to eat their recent catch just outside my window. At one point it looked as if the Osprey gave me the eye as if to say....go ahead and try to get my fish!
