clarksville: The Home Inspector Should Have Found This! - 11/22/17 10:03 AM
Who Checks the Home Inspector's Work?
I never like to hear the words, the home inspector should have found this. We realize, nobody is perfect and even a home inspector can miss obvious items. What do you do if an apparent repair issue is not reported by the inspector and now the day after closing the buyer discovers it? Should the inspector be held accountable?
In my opinion, when a buyer pays several hundred dollars for a thorough home inspection, all obvious and even not so obvious repair issues should be discovered and listed on the report. Most buyers do not have the … (4 comments)

clarksville: Tell Me About the Fall Weather in Clarksville TN - 11/01/17 09:03 PM
What's the Weather Like in Clarksville TN?

In Clarksville TN you can expect to see four distinct seasons throughout the year. In the fall it is very mild with many warm days and cooler night. The colors are gorgeous. This fall is lingering with lots of color and sunshine.

In winter, there are cold days with temps getting down into the single digits. We have very little snow which rarely becomes a big problem in Clarksville because we typically have only a couple of snows each winter season. December is the earliest you will see a snow accumulation.
January there can be a good snow of 3 to … (9 comments)

clarksville: Accent the Interior's Good Features - 10/31/17 07:21 PM
Volume Ceiling, Spiral Staircase
My listing was custom built in the woods so I wanted to accent how open and bright the inside could be and show the special feature of the spiral staircase. The living room is so roomy and open to the kitchen. This photo shows you can have privacy with sunshine created by skylights and plenty of windows.

The showing activity was phenomenal and buyers looking for something unique and different made offers.

The sellers had the difficult time of deciding between multiple offers but found the right fit with the buyers that are currently under contract. One of the comments from the … (14 comments)

clarksville: Enter Stones Manor, Enter Luxury - 10/31/17 06:06 PM
Stones Manor Clarksville, TN
I have been promoting this neighborhood for several years now. Part of my job was to take photos for the website and write copy to intrigue buyers.
The neighborhood has become very hot and homes are selling fast, very fast. More new construction and new homes are coming soon and the prospective buyers are watching and waiting. There is one custom home, under construction and one new home.
This entrance photo is used on the website and most of my posts about the neighborhood. I even use this on the Stones Manor note cards I send out.

clarksville: The Outside is as Important as the Inside - 10/31/17 05:40 PM
Live the Life of Luxury
This is the pool and landscaped areas behind a luxury home I had listed for sale. The seller had added fountains, rock formations and a framework of the gorgeous landscape to accent the lifestyle and luxury of this million dollar home. Not captured in this photo was the greenhouse and garden shed used to keep the tropical gardens looking good.
The home was custom built with beautiful features inside as well and tons of rooms. In addition, it had covered back decks, gazebo areas and gave the feel of a fine resort hotel out back. I am pretty sure this … (8 comments)

clarksville: Best of Clarksville Winners - 10/31/17 05:25 PM
Winning Attitudes, Winning Companies
The Best of Clarksville competition was held in early October and Century 21 Platinum Properties and Platinum Realty and Management won in 5 categories. What makes this company tick is the people and enthusiasm of all.
The agents and staff came out in support and worked the booth, meeting new people and asking them to like our Facebook page for a little bribe of glow sticks,  glow rings and necklaces.
In the selfie, I am on the left and Kristi Meeks from our property management division is on the right. Don't you just love our stylish glasses? We gave all the fun items … (11 comments)

clarksville: A Beautiful View Can Sell a House - 10/31/17 04:44 PM
Breathtakingly Gorgeous

This is the view across the road from a home I was showing. Though the trees were not in the yard of the home for sale, the view was free and a gorgeous one at that. Each year this place delivers a breathtaking view.
Each home I showed was accessed both on the inside suiting the needs of the buyer and also what she saw around the home.
My buyer was all about the view. Not only did she want a pretty view from the back windows and deck, she wanted to see trees and lovely landscape when she stood on her … (6 comments)

clarksville: Happy Halloween- Are You Part of the $9.1 Billion Spending? - 10/30/17 08:07 PM
Enjoy the Day
Today is celebrated in a big way all over America. Estimates are that 179 million Americans will be celebrating the day. This is record-breaking. There is also a projection that 9.1 billion dollars will be spent on Halloween regalia and candy. This is an all-time record showing that the economy is doing much better and people have more money to spend on things other than essentials.
Keep in mind not everyone that celebrates spends money buying decorations or giving out candy. They may just celebrate quietly, receive candy or go to a party with friends.
My office is celebrating by having a Halloween luncheon. Customers and clients … (18 comments)
