I took the time to watch Nobel Prize winner Al Gore's Academy Award Winning movie, An Inconvenient Truth. I was surprised that it wasn't on YouTube but with a little digging around I was able to find a site where I could watch it for free.  At the end of the movie, a seqence of little directives were presented.  Two that struck me were:
"Encourage everyone you know to see this film" "Learn as much as you can about the climate crisis"

The Question That Might Have an Answer Too Big to Handle - 07/19/09 08:35 AM
One would have to assume that in today's information age, there wouldn't be any way that a person who wasn't Constitutionally qualified to become President would ever be allowed  to run for the office and certainly they would never be able to actually win. But who is responsible for verifying qualifications?  I was shocked to find out that there really isn't any formal process or organization who is responsible for this task.
There are just a few requirements to be President of the US that are stated in the Constitution:

Katerina Gasset did a great post on the effect we will see if Cap and Trade is passed.  Sure, everyone wants to save the planet and save energy but let's think this through and realize how it will change your everyday life.

Honduras Respects the Rule of Law. Is Drug Money the Cause for US Condemnation? - 07/01/09 07:12 AM
The recent events in Honduras made me do a little research on what is actually going on down there.  There's something very strange going on when Hugo Chaves, Fidel Castro, the UN and the US all are coming down against what they are calling a "military coup".  If you just read the headlines and listen to Obama, you would think that it's the same old military takeover going on in a banana republic.
Here is a good news report that gives more details than the standard talking points I've been hearing from Obama and others.
