the jubilee team: Central Kentucky home prices rise in June while the inventory sinks. - 07/12/12 08:01 AM
Could this be the best time to buy and sell in Central Kentucky?  Many people are of that opinion.
Line graph emphasizes the market conditions for home buying in Central Kentucky.
With interest rates continuing to hover at record low rates and inventory of homes for sale starting to drop this could be the best of times to buy and sell a home in Central Kentucky.
Prices increase for Central Kentucky homes for the second month in 2012. Buyers can buy homes in most Central Kentucky communities and their payments will be less than if they were to rent … (1 comments)

the jubilee team: Wilmore Kentucky Celebrates Independence with its Annual Parade - 07/04/12 07:09 AM
My wife Kathy and I packed up the folding chairs, filled the stainless steel thermos with "adventure juice" and headed to Wilmore for the annual 4th of July parade.
Well dressed brigade pushes their lawnmowers through the streets of Wilmore. It takes us about 25 minutes to drive down highway 68 to this small college village that never disappoints.  Asbury College and Seminary are the primary reason for the existence of Wilmore.
There are not any children cuter on earth than these watching the Wilmore parade. The innocence of this parade with local politicians throwing candy, the lawn mower brigade dressed in … (0 comments)

the jubilee team: Sellers, Tell the Obvious Truth! - 02/21/12 10:05 AM
Today as I was showing homes in Lexington we visited a home with obvious structural problems.  You could see the corner of the house drooping when we drove up.  Walking in the sloping living room confirmed the first impression.
A two story house in need of upkeep.  The seller's disclosure had nothing about this obvious problem.  This home has now been on the market most of a year.  Does the owner really want to sell?  It is not a bank owned home, it is not a short sell.  Why would anyone ignore such a problem?
Sellers it is to your advantage to … (39 comments)

the jubilee team: Thanks Bluegrass Energy for your help today. - 02/15/12 02:16 PM
Today I loaded my trailer with ladders to take to my friends farm to help cover his cold frame with plastic. I had to meet a client first at the property in Jessamine County where perculation holes were to be dug.  Just  before I arrived the trailer began making weird wobbling noises.  I discovered upon investigation that my left rear trailer tire had disintegrated. After digging through my trunk to recover a tire wrench I was able to discover that the lug nuts were rusted on the bolts.  I  dug through the trunk again and recovered a can of liquid wrench. … (0 comments)

the jubilee team: An Increase of 1% interest rates will decrease the Kentucky homebuyer's buying power by 11 Percent. - 02/15/12 01:31 PM
Interest rates right now are the lowest in my history and I am "old."
The current interest rates make buying a home so easy if you have decent credit scores.  Your buying power is so much greater with these fantastic rates.  Look carefully at this chart below.  It does not lie.  When interest rates rise one percent you lose 11 percent of your buying power.  NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY!

the jubilee team: Prices are Lower than they have been in seven years. Right Now is time to buy a home in Central Kentucky - 02/14/12 12:34 PM
The Second Reason You Should buy Right Now is because prices of homes for sale in Lexington, Nicholasville, Georgetown  and other Kentucky communities are lower than they were in 2004.  That is right!  Take a peek at the chart below.
Prices have dropped! Time to Buy a Home! Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to own your own home.  In most places in  Central Kentucky right now your house payment will be less than rental would be for the same home.  I have had clients purchase three bedroom, two bath homes with very little down that are paying less than $750.00 … (0 comments)

the jubilee team: You are the Key to Buying a Home, Lenders are NOT - 02/13/12 01:24 PM
There is a local bank here in Lexington Kentucky advertising boldly, "We are your Key to Owning Your Own Home."These are not just  small ads you see here and there but very large adds that are in the week end Lexington Herald Leader.
I chuckle when I see adds like this for a couple of reasons.First of all they are not true.  Right now more than any time I can ever remember the "key" to owning a home lies fully with the buyers.  I talk with people weekly who cannot buy a home because of poor credit.
There is not one bank on earth … (3 comments)

Helping seller and buyers understand the value of the land they buy or sell is my passion. My work as a real estate agent is fulfilling because I am passionate about negotiating value. Sellers, let me help you maximize the value of your land even if it is just a small front yard. Buyers I will help you find a place even in the middle of Lexington that can help your family build a wonderful home. Give me a chance to look at your home, your land, your garden and I will give you some great ideas on how you can enhance the presentation of your home with a very small budget.
