19 Comments on My TOM-TOM has saved TIME-TIME, GAS-GAS and my BUTT-BUTT!!!
Wanda - we must be twins!!! I love mine too especially for timing the route - makes scheduling a breeze.
Looks like we are triplets, lol. I could not survive without mine. I got tired of wasting gas and embarrassing myself by getting lost with clients. Thank heavens for our GPS systems!!!
Susan, I never thought about timing the route-Thank you for that! How is your market?
Oh my gosh, we're triplets! I sweat less now that I can get my clients there in a timely manner! Thanks Elizabeth!
Hi Wanda - I use a Garmin and find it very useful in finding homes in areas I've never been in before. I'd be lost without it; no pun intended.
Wanda,
I love the whole presentation of this blog. Funny as all heck!
Those are great pics. I wish the Tom Tom would recognize newer construction areas, and perhaps I need to fiddle with it more for that to be the case.
Jon, You made a funny without meaning to...I love it! I do like the fact that I am able to find those areas that are less known.
Rick, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Heather, Yes, I have noticed that it does not recognize the newer developments. I go to the multiple listing service and check them out.
Hi Wanda, great and funny post. If you ever have the misfortune of driving around New Orleans, bring your Tom-Tom. We have so many one-ways, and "no left turn" intersections, that even I...more or less here my whole life...rely heavily on my GPS. Probably perfect for you getting around the Las Vegas Strip, eh?
My Garmin has gotton me there, but a few wrong turns, it needs to be updated.
Troy, I'd love to get lost in New Orleans! (and thanks for the advice!)
Cindy, You should be able to update,,,I need to finish reading my manual!
I LOVE my cheap little Tom-Tom. It too has saved me countless hours of route planning and map-printing.
Tom, I think the GPS is a necessary tool for realtors who are G. C.!
I use Google Maps and map out directions. What I really hate is when a buyer says, "Oh, let's not see house #3." I say we should drive by at least. Because I don't want them to know that if we skip house #3, I may not know how to get from house #2 to house #4. LOL. But I always carry my Garmin in the glovebox for emergencies. Just the other day Google Maps told me to go north on Watt when I knew for a fact that I needed to go south. Google isn't always right.
Elizabeth, You are right, Google Maps are incorrect at times. My brother and I took a trip to Washington D.C. using Google Maps and got lost several times...the UPS guy even gave us incorrect information...go figure! D.C. is extremely hard to navigate! I wonder how we would have done with a GPS system...we'll try it next time.
I love love my GPS!
Before I got it my GPS, I always teased my clients that I don't have left and right turn signals, I only have U-turn signals in my car!
Well done Wanda Well done Wanda!!!
Craig...U-turn signals! That's great fun! Ha-ha!
Geographically challenged? That's my husband, not me. Our gaminwas our best purchase EVER!
Cheryl, The GPS is one of the greatest inventions ever! I bet your husband would agree.
