Hi Myrl, This is the cutest squirrel photo ever. Now this is one that should be copyrighted. :o)
His cousins are at our place in Virginia!
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Hi Myrl ~ I absolutely love squirrels and you captured a great shot here.
Liz
Kenneth, Tony, Kevin, Monica and Harry - I'm glad the picture was to your liking! Thanks for visiting!
Roy - Squirrels pretty much rule this neighborhood.
Bridget - I had a bird feeder, but for some reason most of the birds in my yard, like to eat the cat's food instead.
Melissa - Yep, I added a tad of the zoom:-)
Bill - He was definitely sassy, and didn't seem to be afraid of me at all:-)
Ralph - I like the gray squirrels a little bit better. This particular breed (in the picture), has a penchant for gnawing on the siding on my house occassionally.
June - So that's why they sometimes flatten themselves out!
Robert - You're such a great photographer, that I take that as a real compliment.
Toula - Glad you liked it. Sometimes they are fun. . .Sometimes they are just plain mischievious:-)
Shirley - I'm glad you liked it:-)
Charles - I suspect that little critter has cousins in a lot of places:-)
Liz - I'm glad you liked it!
Myrl,
Great photo; it's amazing how agile these little critters are!
Mike in tucson
Mike - You are so right about agile. I was convinced that little guy had velcro on his tummy to hang out nearly upside down like that:-)
Myrl,
Great shot and eye contact, Reminds me Rocket J. Squirrel. :)
Steve
Myrl, this one looks like he knows you! You don't happen to feed him? :-)
Steve - He does look like Rocket J. Squirrel! He really just hung out and watched me while I took his picture!
Silvia - I had never met him before in my life! But he was in one of our parks, and it was near a picnic table. I think he thought his odds of being fed were pretty good:-)
Hi Myrl, That little guy looks like he is posing for the shot, doesn't he? He looks like he is very comfortable being that close, but your last comment explains it - he is being fed by people at the park. Makes sense now.
I'm waiting for him to jump off that tree trunk and go scurrying away. Great picture! Hope you take part in the "Nature & Marketing" contest.
Sandy - That little guy was content to sit there and look at me, as long as I was interested in him. Then when I put the camera away, he scampered off to visit his friends:-)
Russel - I was waiting too. . .But he hung around for me to get the shot:-)
Nice shot Myrl. My wife used to feed peanuts to a group of squirrels and chipmunks at our cottage in Canada. She and the Grandkids had them all named. They were real entertainers! Here is a doctored photo of the "masked marauder" grabbing a peanut.
Myrl, I'm amazed that you got him to stand still long enough to get a picture. GREAT SHOT!!
John - "Masked Marauder". . .LOL
Marchel - I had someone tell me once that if a guy keeps that much eye contact going with you on the first meeting, he's attracted to you:-) I was surprised that squirrel didn't ask me for a date:-)
Myrl,
Cute photo! They sure like to hang on trees in various positions. I got a smile out of John's Masked Marauder.
Hi Myrl, Nice shot! Looks like he was just waiting for you to take his picture. Great post, thanks for sharing.
Myrl, I know the perfect mate for this lovely lady. I'm sending this photo to Nutsy right now!! (You do now my godson Nutsy, don't you?)
Gerry - This one was just content to lay there doing a stare off with me.
Gary - Yep, he was being a ham.
Barbara - I kind of recall a Nutsy, but can't remember all the details. Do we know if my squirrel is a lady? Oh well, this is California, it probably wouldn't matter:-)
