The employees were informed that they will be receiving bonuses bigger than they have ever received in the history of the company in 140 years. Currently, they have well over 28,000 employees. The lack of competition in the industry and continue trading on the floor has created a huge amount of profits. It is estimated that well over $13 billion has gone directly to Goldman Sachs. Plus, they are saving hundreds of million dollars in interest payments backed by FDIC. All of these components add to the bottom line at Goldman Sachs to make them look better. Plus, the Federal Government eliminates the competition such as Lehman Brothers.

Hi Harry

I'm happy to paid them my tax dollars for bonuses. RIGHT. . . Why should we put the the money into creating jobs and growing the economy? May be Obama was just kidding when he said that what the tarp money was for saving and creating jobs. Or could this be another election paid back?

Makes me sick, all the folks laid off...restructuring, whatever you want to call it.

We are at 15.2% unemployment in Mi.

I just love my tax dollars going to give them all bonus's and the most in years?
