Good-bye Fall 2009...

In most parts of this great nation, fall 2009 is a mere memory. Gone are the brilliant colors. Gone is the crunch of leaves under one's feet. Gone are the squeals of children, jumping in the piles you so worked so hard to rake. Yes, fall 2009 is just a memory.

While looking through the many pictures I took this year, this is one of the few that I took on the Scenic Harpeth River that meanders through Franklin, Williamson County and Metro Nashville. In Tennessee, the "Scenic" designation means that it is a protected water way...

Your photo is perfect and serene.  With my eyes I can hear the leaves rustling as I walk under the  trees.

If we have any color left but green and grown, I haven't found it yet!

Wow!  That is a stunning photo.  I don't think the colors were nearly as vibrant this year in Georgia.  After a prolonged drought we were inundated with rain in the Atlanta area.  We never really got that first hard frost, and the trees and colors were just kind of bland looking.  Thanks for sharing.

This is definitely an eye catching photo.  The colors are much more brilliant than the photos I just posted of turning leaves.   Great shot!

Michael - The great thing about living in Williamon county is that you don't have to go far to see beauty. This is a great shot.

Michael, that is a gorgeous photo!  A wonderful memory of a beautiful season.  We were lucky to have a dramatically colorful fall here in New England too this year.

Stunning color, Mike! We have the aspens that turn every year, and are very beautiful, but nothing like this grows up here!

Hey those trees in your photos look just like the real deal in my yard, and on the ground and all over the place are the leaves.  Just like magic -- they were on the trees now on the ground!  Wonder how they will get off the lawn and everywhere??? ulg..
