Welcome to Fort Myers Beach Florida!
Fort Myers Beach is located some 26 miles North of Naples in Southwest Florida. Its major island is called Estero island and is 7 miles long by at most some 1/2 mile wide. It is one of the great small island of the Gulf Of Mexico shore line, with a rich history which dates back to over 2000 years when the Calusa Indians controlled much of the Southwest Florida coast.
It is well known as a resort “town” and there is plenty to do. Many of the streets are fingered by canals with direct gulf access, a heaven for boaters, and its seven mile beach is known to be one of the safest beaches in Florida.
As a resident of Fort Myers Beach I have also enjoyed the more relaxed aspect of the island and my wife and I have called home for almost ten years. 2010 is coming very very soon..and the old cliché still stands: “time flies” specially when you are having fun.

Yes, the prices are still very attractive on the island even though our market is starting to stabilize and is going through what I would call “phase II”, you may find your dream home or condo starting in the high $100’s. The average price of a home on the island has risen slightly in the last 3 months but the deals are still here for the taking.
