My First Referral from Active Rain!!!!
A few weeks ago a phone call from a client whose home I sold called...just to talk. She needed someone to listen. Things did not go well in her move to Florida and she and her wonderful family returned to Baltimore, leaving behind an unsold home.
After some research on Active Rain, I found a very kind, knowledgeable and caring agent...her name....Kim Dove. My request to Kim, please research this property, contact my former client and just report back to me. It was a favor and I was not sure it would lead to a listing....but then I read the email below.
I have received my very first referral from Active Rain, and I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!
The call came in a few weeks ago from Margaret Rome, one of Active Rain's Ambassadors no doubt. Margaret gave me the"skinny" on the customers situation and told me that she actually found me through Active Rain. She thought judging by my profile page that I would be a great fit for her customer and their situation.
I wanted to blog about the blessing immediately however I decided to wait a moment until I had all paperwork in hand.
I wanted to make sure that the customer was still on board. You see it is a short sale and well sometimes you just never know.
Well after I contacted the customer who lives out of state I learned that she didn't have Internet access due to snow storms in her area. Well snail mail it had to be with the listing agreements. I can't tell you the last time I went to the mail box but I was so pumped that I just did not care! I mailed her a listing package and a little more information in print about me. After answering some of her questions about the paperwork they were faxed back to me. The customer had to wait another day to shovel through to get to a fax machine.
So thanks to Margaret Rome and Active Rain I am the proud listing agent to another property. 1500 Calming Water Drive unit 1606 Fleming Island, FL 32003 is on the market and scheduled to be professionally photographed today. It will also be featured in the color magazine the "Jacksonville Real Estate" among other publications both virtual and in print.
