Costa Rica is a wonderful country that offers a wide range of experiences.
Among the most interesting and least known features of life here is the Costa Rican approach to addresses.
In most parts of the country, there are neither street names nor house numbers. Directions are given by reference to local landmarks.
For example, my address—as shown on my rental agreement is: “San Francisco de Dos Rios, 300 mts Sur del Restaurante Tierra Colombia, Fente al Abastecedor don Bosco.”
It seems to me that Costa Rican approach to addresses also applies to defining a success address.
We simply cannot say, “go to this exact point and you will find success.”
It's more likely to be: “do this...and then this...and then this...and you will be successful.”
Defining Your Success Address
Regardless of how specific or vague our home addresses may be, they are all unique. They reflect who we are and what we value.
These addresses also represent destinations for ourselves...as well as friends and family.
Similarly, our goals our unique...they reflect what we value and our desired results.
Our goals reflect our personal success address...they are destinations that we would like to reach.
Finding Your Success Address
Whether in Costa Rica...or anywhere else, for that matter, when we ask for directions, the directions that we receive are usually framed by reference to local landmarks.
Directions for your success address are also framed by reference to your own personalized form of local landmarks.
Your personalized landmarks are the goals, objectives and other benchmarks contained in your personal marketing plan or your personal growth plan.
