Active Rain Referrals have been a Blessing

Referrals santa claritaActive Rain has been wonderful when we are looking for agents that work in the areas of this country in which we do not.  I have used the "post a referral" platform on Active Rain, and it is great.

However - I do something different now...

I go to Google, type in ActiveRain followed by the city which I am hunting the agent or other type of real estate vendor within:

activerain santa clarita

The why has to do with how active they are on the WWW.  I want to give those that found me - Absolute Quality!

I know that everyone of us on Active Rain is the quality of which I speak :-)

Quality is almost 100% verifiable - I need to know a bit more than a good pitch.

So I read and run - I Google the names, this only takes a moment, then I do contact, the other agent or vendor through ActiveRain E-mail.  I want to make sure they are paying attention to the system and monitoring their e-mail.  Especially in these days of Instant Gratification.

we love referralsThere is nothing like a Referral.  With these days of all of the business in place that make Up Front money by selling Real Estate agents leads, it is a wonder why I use the ActiveRain email system to contact.  I have tried it by sending referrals directly to agent's email obtained from their websites.  There is too much explanation.  With AR, it is much easier.

standing out with referrals

Standing Out on Active Rain.  I want to see someone that is active and that has built out their profile.  These are important facets to me.  I love RE/MAX but I will refer clients to an agent from any company.  If you are Active on Active Rain - You are good in my Book!!!

Connor and Paris, I like you approach to Google the person you are thinking of giving a referral. Good plan! Thanks for the tip.

I have found that I get higher on the results chart on google because of active rain - just another great incentive.

Mike, Joan, and Jody,

I receive a lot of calls from the "marketers" of the world who have found me on line via activerain and their "stickyness" with Google.  Some of those calls are only time consumers.

But the clients that call because they found me on an ActiveRain link on the WWW because of something I wrote - that is truly a testimony to the power of this platform.

My BEST and Thanks for Commenting.

Connor & Paris....what a clever way to handle that aspect of referrals.
I must tell you that we are moving to a different Host /Co for our web site; saw that your site uses Black as the background color;  found a template also in Black. NOW,  am in awe of those of you who have always used Black as the background. Typing in white against black is a real trip on the eyes. changing white to colors can also add to the 'edit' stress.

Thanks Barb and Sal - I have to agree - one of the things I like the most about our Web provider, Link U Realty is the fact their customer service is so wonderful.

I have another reccomendation, If I may be so bold as well, have you thought of a Self Hosted Blogging solution, Kinetic Knowledge, is our host and they would be able to give you a wealth of information.

Today, in these times, I think the new Blog's are more advantageous than websites - check out our http://RealEstateTelevision.TV site.

My BEST.
