Early morning beauty - San Mateo County, CA
When days get busy--in the life of a Realtor or in most anyone's life--it's all the more important to step aside for a few minutes, still the mind, and be aware of the beauty that surrounds us.
I snapped this picture with my BlackBerry while on an early morning run yesterday with my friend and colleague, Pooneh Fouladi. We've discovered that 7:00 AM is a lovely time at the Sawyer Camp Trail, not as crowded as it gets on a weekend or later in the morning, and the morning light is gorgeous.
The Sawyer Camp Trail is a paved trail for 6 miles, much of it running along Crystal Springs Reservoir and San Andreas Lake. These reservoirs are the termini for the Hetch Hetchy water system, the San Francisco Water Company's system that brings snow melt from the Sierra Nevada Mountains, about 160 miles to the East, to these lakes and then supplies water for San Francisco and many of our mid-Peninsula towns, including San Carlos, where my office is located.
After a 5-mile run, discussing business and promoting our listings, we were ready to get the work day started, refreshed and renewed.
