"An Unfailing Success Plan: At each day's end write down the six most important things to do tomorrow; number them in order of importance, and then do them." — Anonymous
So it goes to the person planing their activities in order to have a successful business and giving unending consideration, thought and attention to it.
Sometimes no matter what a great plan you have, things go awry. I had meatballs spill in my back seat then accidental locked my keys in the car. Thank goodness I had a friend that lived nearby to take me home for another set of keys.
A plan, any plan is better than no plan! I do like the quote and will put a pad of paper and a pen next to my bed and try this...it may just work, Thanks Dee!
Dee....good advice even though our days often go the way of Kathy D,'s LOL
You are young so will let you into the standing joke around our house.. make your lists; post them;
then the only problem will be--"WHERE the heck did those lists go?" or our latest--"did YOU bring the lists ?"
There are days where we are not so pathetic--but, I fear they are becoming further & further apart.
It's OK to grow older, but often the "Old" part is for the pits.
Good advice
If it does turn into a "31 Days of December Challenge"--then that is great--many takers will join you in
another good practice.
Have a great week.
Barb
Dee, with only 6 to deal with that just might be a possibility. A spiral bound notebook is always at the ready. Thanks!
Kathy,
Those were accidents weren't they, and not because you failed to plan? Your accidents reminds me of something that happened to me years ago. I asked my husband to go with me to Home Depot and he said no. I locked my keys in the car accidentally, and you guesed it he had to bring his keys to Home Depot to unlock the car. To this day I'm convinced he thinks I planned it that way (to get him to go with me) but I didn't.
Hi Joan,
Would you believe I had this post in draft for a while before posting it and it's only after reading it again that I thought, how appropriate for the 31 day December challenge!
Hi Wanda,
You are welcome, if nothing else it will help us to remember things we may mistakenly forget to do that day.
Barb,
Thank you, I hope you and Sal have a great week too. I'm not as young as you may think and I do have my share of accidents. Isn't it funny we lose the list that will help us to remember things? You may have to keep that list in one location so that you do not forget where it is located.
Hi Kevin,
Now I'm curious about your 6 things to deal with, care to share? :)
This is good advice. I know Chet Holmes recommends never listing more than six items to do the next day.
Jason,
Thanks, six things sounds about right, if in addition you have daily tasks that must be done.
Debra,
Yes, you are more likely to succeed in accomplishing your to do list, and you'll see the progress you've made as you check off the completed items. Makes sense to me!
Jennifer,
I agree, we can accomplish and at the same time avoid so many things just by planning ahead.
Dee, I sit with a pad and pen while I'm watching TV and jot down the things I think of that I want to get done. It's not the 5 and in order as you suggest, but it sure helps me keep up with my runaway thoughts.
Connie,
If this method works for you, then run with it. The most important thing is that your list of things get done. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
