Mission Valley Condos in San Diego Rio Vista is a small community of just 18 units at the western end of Mission Valley. Amenities include underground parking, a swimming pool, and a common laundry room. Some units also have in-unit laundries. If you like to golf, Riverwalk Golf Course, a public course, is nearby. Also nearby are several shopping malls, including Fashion Valley Mall and Hazard Center. You can catch the San Diego Trolley at several nearby trolley stations, and the Fashion Valley Transit Station also is a meeting spot for buses and taxis to and from Mission Valley. Walkers, joggers, and bikers will enjoy the concrete paths along the the San Diego River from Qualcomm Stadium all the way to Mission Bay, Ocean Beach, and Mission Beach, a distance of about seven miles. Rio Vista was built in 1981, and units range in size from 1,124 square feet to 1,358 square feet. The only floor plans (bedrooms/bathrooms) available are 2/2. As a small complex in a prime location not far from Mission Bay and the beaches, units that come on the market don't stay very long. HOA dues are about $300 a month and include common area maintenance, landscaping, exterior building and roof maintenance, water (including hot water), and sewer. There are no units for sale or in pending status as of January 16, 2011, and no units have sold in Rio Vista since 2007. Hi Jim, We know from our experience here on Long Island, that it's not unusual for a small size community to not have units available for quite some time. Looks like Rio Vista is one of these communities and from your photos we can see why they don't want to leave!
Jim, this is a really nice post. You make San Diego sound like a great place to live. It's amazing that there is a seven-mile concrete path all the way to the beach! The trolley sounds like fun too.
