VBlogging - I like to do Video's

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Results MN#20344949 WI#93113-94
I am seeing a few more video's in blogs in 2011. Video blogging outside of Active Rain is getting bigger and bigger! I have been doing a lot of screencast videos and videos like this one where I am in front of a camera. Both of these options are simple, but the more I watch other peoples videos this is the way they do them, so I don't feel bad for doing them this way.

I do videos so I can stand out and be different by being someone who does a lot of videos! They will keep getting better and more exciting as I keep doing them!

Great thoughts Eric.  I have a video blog on my YouTube Channel, but hadn't thought about putting incorporating those into my AR blog yet... Back to work!

Chuck,  I think doing video is certainly a differentiator, but I think providing value is even more as aspect of differentiation. Thanks for sharing.

Chuck - nice in front of the camera video (as you always do) - presentation wise thumbs up here... good lighting and audio (some rooms are better acoustically), this room is ok, not great acoustically. onboard mic will pick up more echo than lapel mic. I really like your lighting (often a big mistake others in low light) and your attitude is great - very upbeat. Your dynamics are good and lively as they need to be on camera but not over the top as that goes to the other negative extreme. Good presentation. Now nail some good topics and you will have the complete equation. good work :)

Chuck, lots of great reasons and ideas on why we need to do our own videos!  You're very comfortable in front of the camera which is great...  some of us (me included) are still a tad camera why...)  I like your saying "get over yourself"  very good advice!  Thanks for sharing....

Chuck, Some agents worry that prospects will not like them once they are seen on video....afraid that they will come across as stiff or unapprachable.

I see minimal risk in doing videos. The people who already are going to use you or refer you will do so without seeing your videos. To me the video is to help convert the online wanderer who just might think you are the kind of person for them. Some obviously won't but you probably wouldn't have gotten them anyway.

you know I am video hound. I am saving my pennies to be able to buy a new laptop so I can do it fast better and quicker.

Chuck, Other pros agree with you regarding the importance of using Video.  It was interesting that both Ben Kinney of KW and Chris Smith of Tech Savvy Agent agreed you you during our training sessions at Keller Williams Family Reunion.

Chuck, I like the idea of video. Producing video with ourselves in from of the camera seems wierd at first, but it allows the viewer to see who we are. The next time they will be able to associate a face to the voice.

Video seems well shot.

Let the properties, the local community events do the walking, talking and go easy on the agent, broker. The buyers of real estate want, demand the property real estate videos. The real full motion, not a slide show with Kenny G audio sound bed productions. Too many agents, brokers are shooting less than stellar me me me videos and thinking what a little Jack Horner I am. Ego is not the finish line enabler. It's easy to follow real estate listings on not just your most expensive properties. The events that are the flavor, spark of your community. The buyer is hungry, thirsty for those.
