BORDERS OWES PUBLISHERS MONEY. THEY NEED TO READ "PEARLS for the SOUL"

Well here I am a lowly humble real estate agent making his way through life when all of a sudden I write a book called ""Pearls for the Soul" a collection of over 800 positive and uplifting sayings and it takes off. So, I end up using Borders to promote the book and they end up using me

It is not a personal thing either. I enjoyed every moment I was in the different Borders stores. The people interaction was priceless. The memories will be for life. I still visit the Borders stores, but only the ones that are not being liquidated. However, it still remains a mystery to me whether my publisher will get paid or not

Currently, she is in talks with the store managers who are very helpful and concerned. My book sales while impressive from my point of view wouldn't supply tinder for the big boys camp fire. Some of those publishers are owed tens of millions of dollars.

Because they wouldn't negotiate with Borders, they inadvertently pressured them into a bankruptcy situation. Now, the Court will have the final say so on who gets paid and who doesn't and for how much. Perhaps I should send the trustee a complimentary copy of "Pearls for the Soul" to cheer him up.

Now I know they want to remain open, so some sort of deal will be reached. But there will be losses along the way. I must tell you that unless you are Stephen King, or some other famous author, you will have to live off rice and beans with no meat if you are writing for a living. I get meat because of my real estate activities.

"Pearls for the Soul" is still a bargain no matter what happens, "Pearls for the Soul" a collection of over 800 positive and uplifting sayings needs to be read by Borders corporate. Perhaps they will cut my publisher a check after that....

You've got to love it! People are always getting screwed by the "big guys". I have a buyer being screwed by a large bank. They have hit the Realtors, the Mortgage company, and the Title company. So far the only one immune from their greed is the appraisal.

Hello Kathy....In the adult world, you learn how to take a punch, but it still hurts no matter what. I am able to go with the bitter flow, but at least I get to blog about it...a small consolation I know. Real Estate prepares you for the "Real" in life. No doubt about that.

Vickie my sweet....things always work out in the end. When I was younger, I couldn't agree with that so easily. Yes, Vickie, there is a book or two in each one of us. I hope yours makes it to the surface. Then we can share more than cookies...remember?

Ginny....I hear you. The promo work alone is worth the price of admission. I have had people start crying after inviting them to TURN TO ANY PAGE  AND ITS FOR YOU OR A LOVED ONE. They do and sure enough, the dynamics kick in. Then they start apologizing for crying. My editor leaps out of her seat and starts hugging and I start saying don't apologize for the realness you are experiencing right now.  Let it flow as tears are the language of the soul. Next thing I know, women stop by and comfort each other while the men just stare and wonder what is going on. I end selling several books and making new friends. This is starting to be a pretty common occurrence. Now, where can you go to learn and experience such things?

Vickie...that's the idea. Count on that format until one of us dies......Ahhhh thin mints. There is nothing like the explosion you get when you crunch down and the cookie explodes in your mouth. Wash it down with some milk and it is hard to go on hating anyone. Tons of it should be shipped to the Middle East.

Vic very good to hear from you. Yes, Amazon has the book and I have set it up so that no book goes out to anyone I know without me knowing. That way I can personally dedicate the book. it makes it more than just a book going from one hand to the other. There is more going on than that. Life is good Vic

Tish...I have been paid in coin that is not of this world. To be able to give and receive with people who you do not really know but know intimately for a few moments is something that everyone needs to experience. I am learning how we are really are all alike wanting the same things and handling the lows best we can. Another word for mankind is likekind...
