Not long ago, I received emails from a few people regarding a post which included a photo of a downtown street. They were genuinely surprised to learn that Kansas City, our little Cow Town, has tall buildings! So I've been snapping photos of tall buildings in between business appointments as I travel around Kansas City. Please enjoy!
I love the mix of old and new architecture.
The new symphony building is expected to be complete this fall. Helzburg Hall will seat an audience of 1,600 with the furthest seat being only 100 feet from the stage. I am looking forward to enjoying the acoustical experience!
Tall buildings in Kansas City come in many shapes and sizes. Some were built at the turn of the century while others are still under construction.
The downtown Marriott lights up at night.
The changing colors and designs are mezmerizing.
I like that Kansas City remembers to put trees, parks and fountains in amongst our tall buildings.
Peek-a-boo views make one want to explore more downtown streets.
Kansas City, Cow Town, Paris of the Plains, City of Fountains - by any name, Kansas City has always been an unexpected delight for visitors from around the world. Come take a walk around our town. And yes, Virginia, Kansas City does indeed have tall buildings. ^_^
