The colors of these blooming trees are some of the most beautiful, almost breathe taking. If you come to Los Angeles for the first time in May, you will be pleasantly surprised at the various trees in full bloom.

Hi Endre, A what beautiful sight. I love Crepe Myrtles as long as other people own them. They are so gorgeous in color but geez they make a mess ( stain cement), lol. A whole street though of them is an awesome sight! Beautiful!

Chris I am aware many East Coast Residents can not fathom that we have four Seasons as well. They are not as pronounced, nevertheless we do have them. The Purple Tree is called a Jacaranda and they love sunshine and the blossoms are Trumpet shaped and if you look on the ground you can see they cause a lot of "litter" when they drop:))

Are the lavender trees Crepe Myrtles? I've never seen any that color that were that BIG. The purples don't seem to grow well here. (WHY?) I have seen Wisteria that BIG but I don't think these are wisteria?

Joni my understanding is that Lavender Trees are not Crepe Myrtles...The purple one is a Jacaranda Tree:)
