I am speaking specifically of people who have gotten life jobs or commitments. We can start with Congress. You see they have nothing to worry about because their now (present) and their future is guaranteed. Consequently the drive to the cutting edge, the extra mile, the digging deep to find the treasures are not at play.
SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS
I am thinking of the seven dwarfs who worked in the diamond mine every day. This is their mantra and they sang it loud and proud: "We dig in a mine the whole day through. To dig Is what we like to do. We dig From early morn till night, We dig Up everything in sight. We dig up diamonds by the score, A thousand rubies sometimes more, But we don't know what we dig em for, We dig dig dig-a-dig"
MORE MONEY CAME IN...THEN WENT OUT
Now, they never spent their riches or lived a lavish life style. Their clothes, furniture, tools, entertainment and location was simple. But they worked hard every day. They even whistled on the way and while they were working. If they were in charge of the economy, the treasury would have more money coming in and less going out..
OK...CONGRESS
Wouldn't you like to see Congress not only work work work and mimic the life styles of the 7 Dwarfs, but also whistle on the way to work and while they were doing it. You see, we have set it up so that they can do the opposite and now there is nothing literally the tax payer can do
PROMISE NOT TO TELL?
Guaranteeing anything to anybody whether it is fixing a lottery, controlling the price of gold or housing, or not having to earn your keep produces a strange type of human being. To them, anyone who complains about their life style is made to look wrong. Meanwhile, they become reclusive, exclusive and not available and they reward all those around them with a sample of their life style for their silence.
OTHERS VIOLATE THE TRUST TOO
I am sorry to say this, but include a majority government workers,, state and city employees, and tenured teachers as well. As long as they don't go postal and murder anyone, they have jobs, perks, and benefits for life. So, if you can get a hold of anyone to complain or demand services, all they have to do is politely say OK, thank you for calling and have a nice day.....
REMEMBER WHEN WORKING FOR SOMETHING WAS EXPECTED
Go back a hundred years or so...a traveler comes by your farm or place and says, I will chop wood or clear a path or mend fence for a meal. If he done real good, you get room & board in the barn and perhaps another day thrown in. Everyone understood how the system worked.
Whatever happened to...you don't work, you don't eat..?
