New Rainmaker Striving for 20,000 Points.
I signed up last year for the free account and commented on a few blogs but then switched RE companies and just lost touch. Last month I finally re-set my passwords and started commenting and realized I was having such a great time and getting updated info about new marketing ideas such as QR Codes, Newer Internet Techniques, and web sites to stimulate my business, .
Then on May 31st, Abe Schmidt from AR called me and said "Join today and become a RainMaker". Now, I am not one to sign up to callers via telephone calls but signed up anyway. I cannot tell you how long it has been since a caller asked for my credit card info. Normally I said to callers "Gotta go as I am driving but I will call you back later". Yes, that later means "never". How do I know who I am really talking to and do I really want to spend $ for something I have not needed until now? But Abe was very positive and when he said you know your picture doesn't show up yet, and if you become a RainMaker, it will! That was the final straw. I had to sign up right then because I had been bothered that my picture didn't show up.
I must say I love ActiveRain now. So now I log on every morning at 6:00 AM while drinking my coffee and watching the morning news. I started out the end of May with approx. 3,000 points and no picture showing up since I was not a RainMaker.
Setting My Goals:
•· Logging on daily and commenting on at least 10 articles.
•· Getting to 20,000 points within 1 month.
•· Writing a daily post on my blog.
•· Having one of my articles "Featured"
•· Getting on page 1 of my county's score sheet. (Below #51).
Today, I have passed my goal and wanted to share:
UPDATED STATUS:
•· 17, 640 Points.
•· Moving up from #187 to #67 in rankings by county.
•· Written 27 posts to date in 23 days.
Have not had a featured article yet, not to 20,000 points yet and still on page 2 of the rankings for my county but I am moving up tomorrow.
I have so much fun and cannot wait to read all the morning posts. I have learned so much more about the internet, visit new web sites, interact with others and have a real kick writing my posts for my blog. Watch out #66 as I am nearby and moving up! It is really not the competition that drives me but the satisfaction of connecting with others and gaining more knowledge to do a much better job as a real estate professional.
So anyone who is stagnant like I was, go ahead and take a chance. Become a RainMaker and start writing articles. You will find it addicting. If you do not know what Active Rain is, Google it or go to ActiveRain Guide orActive Rain.
PS. Thanks "Abe Schmidt" for being persistent. I could tell from the post and comments last night that sooooo many people respect and admire you.
