Around the world before the second cup of coffee! I knew today was going to be one of those days! I had to get up early to do a “Ready to Close” inspection of a property that was due as soon as possible.

Then I remembered that I had to remove the electronic lockbox, and my Supra key was at the office which of course, was in the opposite direction.

Sometimes there are no simple solutions so I was out the door before 6:00 A.M. and drove to the office and grabbed the key, and headed for the property. Fortunately, it was still early enough that rush hour traffic was not too bad.

I got to the house, took the photos, recovered the lockbox and headed back to complete the inspection and photo reports, which I completed just after 8:00 A.M.

Which works out just fine, because I have a full schedule today with two closings to attend and a tenant move-in somewhere in between!

And why does all of this happen on one day? Those in the real estate biz know the answer:

It’s the last day of the month!

You are right it always happens on the last day of the month..I now schedule closings ealier in the month to avoid all the drama and what a difference it has made! Closings go smoothly and actually fund on time!

Good Morning...hope you got a second or third cup of coffee in! I love to get things done and out of the way early in the day... however out the door before 6 am... that would definitely take some piping hot coffee!

These closing were scheduled early to mid-month. It's the sellers that push them back and then all of a sudden they need them "off the books" by the end of the month! Thanks my friend.
