25 Comments on Crazy Cardboard Boat Regatta at West Chester's VOA Park July 22-23 2011
This sounds hysterical! Oh, how I wish I could be there -- what fun!
Tish, And no potential for sharks in our water for the races :) They might paddle a lot faster if there were!
Those type of events are just way too much fun to miss! Enjoy the Cardboard Regatta you guys!
Craig, Maybe we'll get an afternoon real estate appointment free :)
Liz & Bill - Anything with the words "crazy," "cardboard" and "boat" in the title has to be a lot of fun.
Michelle, Isn't it a great combo??
Michael, Haven't attended one before, but the video looks interesting enough to want to make it!
BLiz- that looks like so much fun!!! I wish we had something like that here! Hope you're going.
Kathy, This event does have some appeal doesn't it! :)
HI BLiz,
Pfanntastic Event, I want to get this here in Victoria...... love the simple fun, but also the oppotunity to feature the community, support a good cause and have great family fun.....
Great stuff, please report on the results...., the video is too funny
Peter & Linda, Hopefully we get a chance to make this one! Sounds like a great time :)
That looks like a hoot...not sure I'd want to enter but watching sure would be fun. ;-)
Anita, Same here, I'd rather be dry on shore :)
Too too funny. I can imgaine this is a great event. In the middle of the summer, sinking doesn't sound like a bad idea - knowing that rescue will occur soon! Cheers to all!
In our region, we have milk carton boat races during the Aquatennial in Minneapolis. Something similar. It would be great to watch....from land.
Anne, It's probably not a bad thing! In this weather we're already saturated in sweat, so why not get cooled off too?
Don, Definitely along the same lines, but I think your idea probably has more buoyancy assuming they're sealed cartons?
What fun!! I can't believe how creative some of those people were - the pirate ship, the cat, noah's ark and the flinstone mobile - looks like everyone had a great time.
Juli, Definitely some serious creativity on display!
I think this is a wonderful creative idea for kids and also a chance to help others PLUS cool off in this heat!!! I love it!!
Sandra, There's another one coming up soon, and proceeds benefit a park for the disabled.
