Want something good to happen? Then do something!
Progress comes from action, not wishful thinking. And certainly not from procrastination.
Need more listings or buyers? Find new ways to work smarter and harder to connect with these clients.
Want your messages to be heard? Make the effort needed become a better speaker or writer.
Want to feel better? Eat healthier and become more active.
Want a greater income? Be of greater value, genuinely earn a promotion, or create your own income streams.
Do all these actions take effort? Of course. Progress requires movement. You have to do something to create change and improvement.
Now, you could do what most people do and just wait for things to be better. Talk about how bad things are and how you wish for something better. That can seem relatively easy compared to the effort to create your own changes.
The "wait for it" approach is a wildly popular approach to life. It is why lotteries are so popular (and, no, buying a lottery ticket does not really count for much effort and even fewer successes). The "wait for it" system is common in real estate. Too many agents do little but list a property and put a sign in the yard, then wait for someone else to sell the house.
Can good things come your way without effort? Sure. Good fortune does befall many people. However, remember that such good fortune is less common for those who wait without much effort or initiative.
Can effort lead to failure? Sure. Show me someone that never fails and I'll show you someone that never accomplishes much. Failure is part of progress. Learn, adapt and continue.
Is being a more successful professional important? Need to sell more properties or make more loans? Want to be a better speaker or writer? Want something more or better in life? Then do something. In fact, do many things. Often.
