It’s that time of year again to saunter down to Annapolis for the 42nd Annual Sailboat Show, on the City Dock. These shows draw tens of thousands of visitors, both purchasers and lookie loos. The show actually started yesterday for those lucky few with VIP passes. Friday, October 7th, thru Monday, October 12th everybody with a ticket is welcome to join the show.
One day tickets are $17, and tickets for children 7 - 12 are only $4. The show is open from 10 AM to 6:30 PM every day, except Monday, when it will close at 5 PM.
For those of you familiar with downtown Annapolis, you already know parking can be a challenge on days with busy events. Since the Boat Show is one of the busiest events of the year, you would be well advised to park at the Navy-Marine Corps stadium and shuttle in to downtown. Parking for the day is $10, and the shuttle bus is free. Parking on Saturday will be directed to Riva Road, since Navy is playing that day.
Enjoy the show, and remember that pets and strollers are discouraged because of safety concerns on the temporary docks. Oh yeah...if you’re a Power Boat enthusiast...that show is next weekend.
