Enough with the posts about features arleady! I care wayyyyyyy more about reblogs than features.
Yes, of course it's an honor to be featured and it's an opportunity to get more subscribers. But, honestly, often, while it's fun, it's more of distraction...so much time to answer all those comments. (Now, occasionally, I'm thrilled w/ all the comments...when I'm seeking advice. In fact, I've had 2 features where the comments were OUTSTANDING - wonderful learning for me an other AR members...see links below).
So, besides the fact that features don't really build my biz (rather keyword posts do and relationships here on AR do for sure), these actually distract me from my actual business at hand. And, they always seem to come when I least expect them and when I'm super busy.
..................so, what matters more?..............REBLOGS. Reblogs really help build my business. They give me more links to my important posts and to my website which in turn give me better google rankings. Further, when someone reblogs you, that is the most sincere form of acknowledgment...they like your post enough to feature it on their own blog. I'm mean, seriously, that is huge. And, it's even better if someone with a high PR blog reblogs you. And, when they endorse you, wow, now that feels good! So, it's a double win and worth way more than a feature.
Tip: When you reblog someone, consider adding a link back to their profile page or website and highlight key words for them and make that link key word ridh. For example for me, that might look like Westchester hardwood flooring. If you do this, you help the author in their ranking. And, if we all do this, we all help each other.
If you want to spread the word on this, please reblog this (rather than suggest it).
Also, as promised, here are 2 featured posts that had OUTSTANDING COMMENTS. The post was okay, the comments generated brought new learning for many members.
A bit confused about AR/wordpress/blogger and hosting
Should she refinish her floors to sell her home? Need your opinions and advice.
These were both valuable learning posts for me and I was so glad i was featured...because I learned A TON! And, thank you for your input. You guys rock.
