Funny Cal, How a town or city is pronouced often reveals if one is a local or new to an area. But then there are many ways to say some names.
Many people in my parents' generation would leave out the "a" in Philadelphia....Phildelphia.

I grew up in Florida and went to postgraduate school in Georgia. The Southerners would even add more emphasis to Lancaster than you might imagine... g
Gloria, that is an interesting pronunciation for Philadelphia, maybe that is where Philly came from. But local things are always interesting.
