PenguinsWinter Means Half Price Admission To Cincinnati Zoo!

We've got unseasonably warm weather right now, just right for an afternoon stroll through the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden!  Now some of the critters may be hunkering down and disliking the colder weather, but others are probably thinking "Just like HOME!!".

So what makes a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo even better?

SAVING HALF OFF ADMISSION!!

That's right, from now until February 29th, you can save half off the normal admission price!  Normally $15 for adults, $10 for kids 2-12 and seniors, now HALF OFF!  Parking is still $8 unless you're riding the bus or hoofing it in!

And an added treat this time of year?  King Penguins on parade!  10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily catch the penguin parade, and who knows, maybe one will break out into Happy Feet?  Naaaah....we know it's not likely!

So save a some dollars, have some fun with the family and enjoy the zoo!  And who knows, you just might sneak in a little education on the young ones without them even realizing it!

For more info on the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden hours, directions, and parking, visit the Official Cincinnati Zoo Website!

BLiz: The zoo is a great way to get the family out of the house and doing something constructive.  Half-price is always appreciated. ;-)

Hi Bliz, I haven't been to the zoo in years, but with these half off pricing in your area, I am sure many will come out to take advantage of this great offer. It's always fun for the whole family too.

Anita, It's another win-win!  Some exercise, see the zoo, learn a bit, and save some money.  What's not to like as long as you dress for the weather?

Jerry, It's been a couple of years since our last trip, so due to make a visit before long :)  Time to take the camera and get some blog photos :)

BLiz, We are fortunate today to have such modern Zoo facilities. I remember as a boy going to the zoo in the winter and feeling sorry for the animals taken away from their natural habitat and stuck in rainy or snowy Seattle.

This is a great way for the zoo to take advantage of this warm weather. I always enjoyed going to the zoo when my kids were little but hated fighting the crowds. This is a great way to spend a warm winter day and hopefully not have to battle the crowds.

Liz/Bill - what a great idea - 1/2 off to visit the zoo.  Did you see the news about the orangs in Florida putting on sweatshirts the other day when it got below freezing in Florida - I thought it was so great these animals can mimic something good!!!

Paul, The zoos have come a long way with building habitats that are more representative of natural conditions, but still, you need mother nature's help if you want snowy, cold conditions for those polar animals :)

Tammie, No doubt there won't be the same population during these coller months.  A perfect time to go if crowds aren't your thing.

Juli, I missed that, but our Chihuahua wears a sweater pretty regularly this time of year.  When it's not on, she asks for it :)

Brenda, Today I saw 55 degrees at 3:09!  A perfect day to show some houses :)

Liz and Bill, I love the zoo.  Our weather has been really mild so far this winter.  It would be a great way to get the kids out of the house and enjoy the wonderful sunshine we're having right now.

I don't think our zoo ever gives a discount except on Super Bowl Sunday.

Connie, Ours does some things here and there.  They also offer discounts during the PNC Festival of Lights around the Christmas holidays.  It gets a bit chilly during the winter, so they'll do a few things here and there to promote attendance.

I love zoos.  Our local zoo is very small (but a great size for small children because you can make it through the whole thing) and is relatively a good price always, but getting 1/2 off is a great deal! -Kasey

Kasey, Definitely one of the perks of our area, with several cities in easy reach.  Liz has also been to the Columbus Zoo (just a bit over an hour drive from our area) and says it's also excellent!  Bill
