I've reported month after month on the condition of the Real Estate market in Edmond, Oklahoma and the overall OKC metro area, and fortunately, I still have positive numbers to share, in spite of a slowing market. For the third month in a row I have some slightly declining numbers, yet positive factors in light of a struggling national real estate market.
The following chart shows the monthly Oklahoma City Metropolitan Real Estate statistics for September 2007 as compared to August 2007 and September 2006.
As you can see, the total transactions closed is lower than this time last year, and the average price has come down since last month, however, the average home value has still appreciated at a rate of 4.0% in comparison to twelve months ago.
I don't have as much detail in this report as usual, because all the statistics haven't yet been published, but I'm still seeing very promising buyer traffic on my listings and October was a huge month in the way of closings and new contracts for our team.
