SHOPPING IN LAUREL
Laurel Town Center and Main Street are located in Prince George's County.  Parts of Laurel are located in
Howard County and in Anne Arundel County.  Main Street in Laurel is a mix of 100 year old storefronts and
modern office condominium buildings located in restored historic buildings or newer construction.  Businesses
include the always popular Red Hot & Blue, professional offices, the Laurel Meat Market, an art supply

TRANSPORTATION
Located along the Route 1 Corridor, Laurel also has the Route 1 parallel railway going north to south and
a very popular MARC Train station for commuters to Washington, D.C. in the south and Baltimore in the north.
MARC Train has connecting stations to METRO in New Carrollton.  Located 4 miles north (outside) of the
Washington Beltway, Laurel offers an easy commute to Ft. Meade, Andrews AFB, Northern Virginia (20 miles)
and the business areas of Rockville and Bethesda in Montgomery County. 

LAUREL IN HOWARD COUNTY
Howard County Laurel offers newer home communities, a more rural atmosphere than Prince George's County,
highly ranked public schools and homes are more expensive.  Howard County Laurel is also the location of
the Laurel Maryland Thoroughbred Race Track.


LAUREL IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
Wal-Mart is here! !   Newer shopping is located in Anne Arundel County Laurel.  A large residential community,
